A Meditation for Burn Out

Our life is a progression of ups and down, success and failures, mistakes and wins…

In the midst of the climb to our greatness, we have to remember a couple things…

It’s a process. One step in front of the other and do everything we can to keep ourselves motivated, inspired and balanced.

All too often, we fall out of balance based on our subconscious and unconscious patterns.

I know all too well how I operate and have recognized my pattern of falling out of balance…

Maybe you’ll be able to relate to this…

I’ll receive a surge of inspiration, insight and downloads and turn into an A-Type personality where my focus and attention upon my goals are all consuming…

Then…

I hit a brick wall of laziness, lethargy and I’m completely burnt out.

Circuits fried.

Mind overwhelmed.

Lost concentration.

Misguided my focus.

Got distracted.

Fell into self-pity about falling from my focus and having a hard time getting motivated again…

Well, this pattern, after you repeat it enough times… just gets old.

With the help of various meditations and self care practices this pattern has become more and more of a skeleton in my psyche. Not to say its not there - it’s a shadow quality that always might be lurking in the background, when I least expect it… ready for a sneak attack!

…thats how these things work. The moment you’re solid, balanced, consistent and you slip up even for just a second, it can snowball faster than a bolt of lightening.

This is one of those meditations I’ve begun to practice when I sense myself slipping and need to stay consistent.

It expands your capacity for commitment so you can keep up with what you create.

I hope you find it useful! I sure do.
